Starting at our shop you roll directly onto dirt at the the Power Road connector trail which leads you into Tonto National Forest and the Hawes Trail network. Hawes trail features breathtaking views of Red Mountain and the lower Salt river and is home to a wide array of wildlife including a healthy herd of wild horses. The Hawes trail system includes a mix of beginner , intermediate and expert level trails with a wide range of riding surfaces. Most of Hawes falls in the intermediate level providing challenging trial riding for every level of rider and some areas that will force beginers to "Hike a Bike". Hawes connects to Usery Mountain Regional Park via Twisted Sister and Wild Horse (Maricopa Trail).
Less adventurous riders are encouraged to ride in Usery Mountain Regional Park just a few miles east of our shop. Usery park features dozens of miles of smooth buffed out single and double track trail suitable for first time riders and fast fun for veteran riders as well. At Usery you will spin along the south side of Pass Mountain with fantastic views of the Superstitions.
We are a perfect start and finish point for your tour of the lower Salt river, Saguaro Lake and the Usery Pass loop. As you ride northbound from the shop in the bike lane on Power road you will pedal towards the view of Red mountain. Power road becomes bush Hwy as you pedal out of the city into Tonto National forest. The bush Hwy twists along the lower Salt River with epic views of the river canyon and Saguaro Lake. on your way back consider climbing Usery Pass for a challenging addition to your ride.
